Principal's Corner
Welcome to Scott School
Dear Parent(s),
The new school year is almost upon us, and I couldn't be more excited to get started! Your child’s classroom placement will be in the mail soon (mid-August), so please keep an eye out for it. Placements were made with the diverse academic and social/emotional needs of all of our students. Keep in mind, students may or may not be in classrooms with their friends. Your support in helping your student recognize the benefits of gaining new friends and having new learning opportunities is appreciated and helps foster a positive transition back to school.
Our Scott School Open House date and time will be share with you via email through Infinite Campus. Our school start time is 8:30 a.m. The first bell rings at 8:25 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 8:30 a.m. Please help your student arrive to school on time, but no earlier than 8:10 a.m. to ensure adult supervision is available. Also, the dismissal bell each day is at 3:20 p.m. Parents dropping off and/or picking their student are to use the parent loop to ensure the safety of all of our students.
There will be professional learning days called Collaborative Learning Time (CLT) throughout the year for all teachers district-wide which will will result in an early release from school for students. Please recognize these dates and release times, so you and your child can plan accordingly. Daycare opportunities for families in need of childcare on early dismissal days will be offered through the KIDS program.
Thank you for allowing our fantastic staff at Scott School the privilege of working with you and your child. Positive communication is essential in our partnership, and we value your involvement. On behalf of the staff and myself, we are thrilled for the amazing adventures this school year holds in store and welcome you to be a part in our learning journey.
Scott School Rocks!
